They Served Their Country Parts I and II
Newcastle Family History Society Inc. (NFHS) will launch its newest publication They Served Their Country Parts I and II on 3 May 2024 at Jesmond Bowling Club.
There are two parts to the Publication. Each part is available as an A4 book (printed in colour throughout).
Stories contained in these volumes range from the Maori Wars through to Afghanistan. As well as stories about those who served, you can also read about other military-related items such as Aussie, the WWI soldiers' newspaper, the remarkable statues in the Hyde Park War Memorial and the soldier poet who wrote ‘In Flanders’ Fields’, to name just a few.
